Directions

  1. Take the M4 to Junction 32.

  2. Take A470 and follow signs to Merthyr Tydfil for approx 8 miles.

  3. At the roundabout after Abercynon, take the A4059 to Mountain Ash and Aberdare.

  4. Stay on the road past Aberdare. At the roundabout at the top of the hill turn right, continuing on A4059 to Hirwaun. This section is about 9 miles.

  5. At the next roundabout take the first exit (A465).

  6. At the next roundabout take the A4061 towards Hirwaun Industrial Estate and Rhigos.

  7. At the next roundabout turn right to Hirwaun Industrial Estate.

  8. Go straight over mini roundabout.

  9. Road continues under dual carriageway.

  10. Continue for approx. ¾ mile, turn right after Fifth Avenue House over a humpback bridge.

  11. Turn immediately left, through gate.

  12. Follow track, bearing right where it forks. Take care in icy weather. There is a gritting bin on the right, halfway up the tarmac track, for your use.

  13. Through another gate fastened by a padlock. Watch out for the sheep!
    This gate must be kept closed and locked.

  14. Follow track to further gate, which should be left as found. From here you can see the centre. Follow track for further 200m over some humps. There may be animals lying on or near the track – please drive carefully.

  15. Please park off the track as the farmer needs access at all times.
